Island Enterprises Limited plans, builds, connects and maintains – so the building you buy is the building we look after. In-house trades: civil works and foundations, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and air-conditioning, generators, fire safety and pest control.
ARK Prefab is a Shanghai-based modular manufacturer founded in 2005, with projects from mining and LNG camps to offices, classrooms and housing. Factory credentials: EN 1090 certified, CE-approved steel structures, TÜV structural testing. IEL has been ARK's established partner in Solomon Islands since 2021, with 15+ ARK projects delivered.
Overseas manufacturers can ship a building. Only a local contractor can level the site, clear customs, connect power and water, pass inspection – and still be here for the service call in year five.

Why ARK modular

Turnkey. Start to finish.
- Brief & site visit – use, size, location, power and water, access and funder requirements.
- Design & quotation – standard model or custom layout, priced with all local works.
- Manufacture – ARK fabricates the modules with shop drawings, structural calculations and compliance declarations.
- Site preparation – IEL civil team completes foundations or stumps while the factory builds.
- Shipping, customs & delivery – sea freight to Honiara, port clearance and transport to site, Guadalcanal or provinces.
- Install, connect, hand over – assembly, roofing, decks, electrical, plumbing and AC by IEL's own trades.
- Look after it – maintenance, termite protection, AC servicing and repairs: one call to IEL.
Featured projects
- Government security headquarters – eight ARK modules (operations offices, staging area, secure armoury, storage and archives) plus two triage buildings. Donor-funded; handed over 2024.
- Provincial Emergency Operations Centre – prefabricated office on a remote island site with no regular shipping or running water. Foundations, assembly, electrical, plumbing, tanks and ramp by IEL; handed over March 2024, now a 24-hour disaster operations base.
- Hospital clinic modules – ARK clinic modules with internal walls arranged for clinical use, followed by a further ARK building and a new toilet block on the same campus.
